On behalf of The Carter Center/Nigeria, I wish to thank SEOF/Chrome Group for the donation of $250,000 (Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars) to support the River Blindness control programme in the South East states in Nigeria. It is my hope that this generous and humane gesture will signal the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration/ partnership between The Carter Center and SEOF/Chrome Group for the benefit of the good people of the South East states in particular and Nigeria in general. I am confident that Atlanta on its part will send an appropriate letter of appreciation in response to this generous donation.
Please be assured that, although the fund will be administered from Atlanta, we on our part in the Nigeria programme are committed to a judicious and maximal utilisation of the funds in the South East states in accordance with SEOF/Chrome Group instructions.
